Directions to Secret Island at Kualoa Ranch from Honolulu

1. Follow signs to Interstate H1 West.

2. Take the Likelike HWY exit (# 20A) off of the H1.

3. Follow Signs for Kahekili Hwy (HI – 83). Stay on this road for 9.7 miles.

4. You will see signs for “Kualoa Visitor Center” then pass the “Corral Kingdom” Gift

shop along your left hand side.

5. The entrance to Moli’i Gardens will be on your right just past the “Tropical Gardens”

Macadamia Farm outlet.

6. There is an address marker with white trim and lettering with a red background:

The street address is 49-345 Kamehameha Hwy.

7. Turn right here into the private drive & follow until the road splits. You will see a sign

directing you to veer right for Secret Island and Hale Moli’i.

8. Follow the signs to Secret Island Parking lot. Park and walk to the pier to wait for the

boat to take you to Secret Island.

**For those families and players joining us on Saturday, June 6 for our Secret Island Activity here are some important reminders:

POTLUCK:  PLEASE BRING A MAIN DISH AND 1 SIDE OR 1 DESSERT, If you know your child eats a lot they may want to pack extra snacks.

BRING OWN DRINKS

Pack a towel, change of clothes and sunscreen.  We encourage players to leave valuables at home.

PLEASE NOTE:  If you miss the boat you will have to wait for the next available transport to the island which is at the sole discretion of Secret Island Staff.

We have a large group of 85 players and staff so please arrive early so we can get everyone organized and ready for the boat!

UNIFORM AND EQUIPMENT FITTING FOR NEW PLAYERS IS JANUARY 31 – Time and Location to be announced at practice.

MANDATORY CONDITIONING (2 WEEKS/10 DAYS).  Players who do not fulfill their conditioning requirements will not be issued equipment until the conditioning period has been achieved.

DAYS/TIMES:  Mondays –  Fridays starting January 19 at 4:30pm (flag and tackle together).

LOCATION: Kapolei Regional Park, enter on Kamaaha Avenue.

REQUIREMENTS: Wear comfortable tshirt and shorts, socks and cleats or running shoes.  Bring a water bottle with enough water and a jacket if needed.

SPRING SEASON CELEBRATION FOR FOOTBALL AND RUGBY

We have reserved White Plains Beach Pavilion 1798 for our season-end gathering.  All coaches, players and their families are invited to attend our party for a fun-filled day of beach activities and BBQ/potluck.

Saturday, July 5 from 8:00am – Sundown

  • 8:00am Arrival: set-up tents, table and chairs
  • 9:00am BBQ while kids swim & play
  • 11:00am Lunch Served
  • 12:30pm Activities for All!

BRING: Tents, tables and beach chairs.  Swim clothes, a change of clothes, towel, sunscreen, beach toys, potluck dish and own drinks.  Please bring a cooler with lots of water for your little ones!

NOTE:  Children must be supervised by a parent or responsible guardian. For safety reasons, players may not be dropped off unattended at this function.  Children are allowed to swim when a life guard is on duty.

    House Rules

    • Enter the field on Kilani Avenue, Anoni Street, or Mahele Street.
    • Parking will be permitted on the field side of the park.  ABSOLUTELY NO PARKING ON THE RESIDENT SIDE OF ANY STREET.
    • Bathrooms are located between the basketball courts and the park.
    • The snack bar will be located near the tennis courts.
    • Ka’ala Elementary School is absolutely off limits.  Please remain near the field, tennis courts, basketball courts, or park.
    • Please keep the field and surrounding areas clean by disposing of any rubbish in the rubbish bins located around the area.
    • Only authorized individuals are allowed inside the roped off area of the field.
    • Spectators will need to bring their own chairs as there aren’t any bleachers to sit on.  They can also pitch their pop up tents around the field on the outside of the roped off area.
    • No alcohol permitted anywhere around the football field or surrounding areas.
    • No tobacco products allowed anywhere around the football field or surrounding areas, which includes E-Cigarettes.
    • No use of any contraband allowed anywhere around the football field or surrounding areas.
    • Organizations are responsible for supplying their teams with water.  Bring your own water dispenser, ice, water, bottles, and a table.
    • Home team will occupy the school side of the field.
    • Home team is responsible for providing a 3-person chain gang.

REMINDER: Our Kapolei Islanderz Football Party is at the Kroc Center today starting at 1:00pm. Report to the Front Desk and tell them you are with the Islanderz Football Team. Come to the Cabanas (near the back of the slides) and get your wristband and take your swim test.

Swimming is from 1:30-3:30pm
Food Service is from 3:30-4:30pm

Although there is some rain in Kapolei today, there are contingency plans in place with the Kroc Center depending on how bad the weather is this afternoon. We encourage everyone to be on time because regardless of the rain, we will have our foodservice today (indoors if necessary)!! If we are unable to swim, we will reschedule for another swim time.
